Minister Francisco da Costa Monteiro welcomed executives from Woodside Energy for a crucial discussion centered on the work and strategic plans for the Greater Sunrise project. Echoing the sentiments of the IX Government, the Minister articulated Timor-Leste’s aspirations to bring the gas to its territory, emphasizing the importance of this goal in the project’s overall development
During the meeting, the Minister asked Woodside and Joint Venture partners to collaborate in order to resume discussions and negotiations on Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs). The Minister highlighted the mutual benefits that could be derived from renewing these crucial dialogues.
Additionally, the Minister attentively listened to and heard Woodside’s perspectives on the necessity for a Concept Select Study in the near future. The meeting marks a significant step in aligning the visions and aspirations of all stakeholders involved in the Greater Sunrise project.
